TYPE-EFZ EXCELER FILTE(Middle range pressure type)

Like the conventional EXCELER FILTER, this filter fully automatically performs pressure filtration --> removal of filtrate by air --> feeding of filter paper and removal of filtration cake.In addition to this usability, additional functions are available for this filter equipment.

  • A hydraulic cylinder adopted to open and close the filter chamber can double the maximum working pressure.
  • This filter equipment can be equipped with a secondary dewatering diaphragm.This exponentially increases cake dewatering efficiency in comparison with conventional filter equipment, and facilitates the handling of dewatered filtration cake.
  • When equipped, filter paper recycling equipment enables the user to easily use filter paper the desired number of times.This can reduce the running cost of the filter equipment.
  • You can use a filter medium washer for washing filter paper after filtration for recycling.
  • Filtration area of up to 1.2 m2 is available, which expands available options together with conventional filter equipment.

Automatic operation start

1.Automatic operation start
When the AUTO RUN button is pressed on, the hydraulic pump starts and the hydraulic cylinder on the upper part of the filter equipment pushes the top lid down.
At the lower end, the top lid is tightened and firmly sealed with a particular formed packing bonded to the top lid.
With this, a filter chamber is formed.
After complete sealing is confirmed, the filter equipment proceeds to the next filtration process.

Filtration process

2.Filtration process
The automatic liquid supply valve opens and the filtration pump starts simultaneously.
Raw liquid from the filtration pump enters the filter chamber for filtration by the filter paper there.
During filtration, the filter paper captures all solid contents in the raw liquid as deposited on the paper.
This deposition reduces the flow rate and increases pressure in the filter chamber.
The filtration process ends at activation of the filtration timer or at the detection of upper-limit pressure.

Dewatering process

The filtration pump stops.
The automatic liquid supply valve closes and the automatic dewatering valve opens.
Compressed air jetted into the filter chamber expels any residual liquid with its pressure.
Activation of the dewatering timer or the detection of lower-limit pressure confirms that no residual liquid is left in the filter chamber.
The automatic dewatering valve closes and the dewatering process ends.
The hydraulic cylinder then pushes the top lid up to open the filter chamber.

Cake removal and paper washing process

4.Cake removal and paper washing process
When the filter chamber fully opens, the paper feed motor runs to feed filter paper by the length used for filtration.
The dewatered cake on the filter paper is removed by flipping the filter paper and using a scraper to deposit the cake in a cake box.
Used filter paper can be washed with high-pressure water (option) during take-up for recycling.
It is possible to reduce the water content of dewatered cake to the utmost percentage limit of water content by including the secondary dewatering process that uses a permeable membrane.

5.Filter paper rewinding process
After dewatered cake removal, the taken-up filter paper is rewind for recycling if necessary.
The quantity of rewind paper can be freely set by using a counter.
When the filter equipment is equipped with a paper washer, the filter paper is washed with high-pressure water during rewinding.
The maximum number of times that paper can be recycled depends on the type of paper, liquid characteristics, and washing efficiency, which must be confirmed in advance.
At the end of paper unrolling, the filter equipment returns to the first filtration process and automatically repeats the series of filtration processes.

2) The required compressed air is 0.45 MPa minimum and 0.2~0.4Nm3/min. (ANR).
3) Equipment components to be wetted are made of SUS304 (SUS316) as standard, but can be made of SS400 or lined with rubber or fluorocarbon resin.

5) The explosion-proof type and sanitary type are also optionally available.
